Lets Turn That "M" Upside Down Today

Writing a blog coming off a loss such as last night’s πŸ˜  probably isn’t the best idea in the world. But here goes nothing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯..

Road Warriors πŸ€” I Think Not!!!

‘Road Woes’ are nothing new for the Marlins. The Fish have not finished the Road-portion of a season with more wins than losses Since 2009. Coincidentally they have not had a winning Overall record since then either.. This club was 30 Games Under .500 a year ago while traveling πŸ™ˆ, and if They are ever to get into contention, That Has To Change! This happens more than ya think. It takes young clubs time to figure out how to compete as the visiting team. Only losses like last night’s Don’t Help πŸ™‰πŸ™‰πŸ™‰.

Trouble with the Curve

Both Adam Conley and Drew Steckenrider have dropped the ‘Slider’ from their Pitching Repertoires to go with more of a traditional ‘Curveball’ at the behest of the Marlins I'm sure. This makes sense for a Steckenrider, whose Slider was almost Obsolete a year ago from lack of use.. But Adam Conley needed Not an adjustment to his breaking-ball, which had been a very effective pitch since coming into the league. His Slider had sharp ‘down and gloveside-movement’ to it, while being in the high 80’s “velocity wise”, which made it a hard to pitch to distinguish from his Fastball to Lefty AND Righty hitters, which in this case was a good thing πŸ™‚.. We’ll see if Conley goes back to it as the season progresses. As for Steck, Fastball “location” was again an issue last night, and the Fish maybe looking to a Nick Anderson (Whose Fastball “location” has been “pin-point” early on) to fill those high leverage innings until those ‘Issues’ get 'ironed' out..

Lets make some changes

I don’t know if the Marlins’ “Offensive” issues can be ironed out however πŸ™ˆ. I’ve read a lot about ‘approach’ recently, which does have a lot to do with it. This team does have to be patient and become a decent “On Base Percentage” Club in order to generate any kind of offense because we know the “Slugging” is just not gonna be their. But it also could be time to give other guys opportunity. Rosell Herrera and Peter O’Brien are two ballplayers who just aren’t cutting it offensively in the Big Leagues right now (Jee, If only Someone could have predicted that πŸ€”). And Lewis Brinson attained the “Golden Sombrero” last night… It’s time to let Neil Walker play some Right field (Something else someone predicted πŸ€”), Which would allow a red-hot Martin Prado to get in their more regularly at 1st. And hopefully we see an Austin Dean to start the homestand on Friday. Before then, lets salvage a game today in Cincy and avoid a sweep. That’s how you also avoid going 30 games under on the road πŸ™ˆπŸ™‰πŸ™‰πŸ™‚.
I don’t know if th
