Deadline

Deadline is our Son Los Marlins word of the day and it has a double meaning. Sure the Trading Deadline in Baseball is about a month away, along with it however came another deadline that was openly placed on the Marlins. Prior to Friday night’s Game against the Nationals, Manager Don Mattingly candidly spoke to his Club. The Message was as clear as the Marlins Park Roof, “at this point it’s like every Game, no matter who we play, we got to Win” speaking on the mindset the Marlins need to have. That’s because the Fish dug themselves quite a hole, they were 31-43 on Friday, along with being 10 Games back of the New York Mets in the N.L East Division. We mentioned the Trading Deadline, a time that could be wise for a Club not in the Playoff Race to try and get a return on expiring Contracts. The likes of Star Outfielder Starling Marte or Closer Yimi Garcia? Veterans Adam Duvall & Ross Detwiler as well, are on one year Deals (get the picture)?! “Turning this thing around” were the word

We touched upon earlier today the up to now successful transition into Starting Pitcher for Zach Thompson & the Marlins. It's not gone quite as well for Jordan Holloway in the same department in a bit of a head-scratching move to see the Fish bullish at times on making him a Rotation candidate. Holloway looked good out of the Marlins Bullpen earlier in the year and the numbers backed him up, tossing 10 scoreless Innings with 10 K's. The Marlins then ensued by placing him in the starting 5 where Holloway had his struggles. During Jordan's 2 Starts "walks" were an issue as apparent to his 7 walks in less than 7 Innings, while also running into trouble a second time through the order. Holloway features a mid to high 90's Fastball to go along with a BreakingBall that has truly come along this year. However, his over the top delivery can at times cause mechanical flaws. Flaws that can be easily masked an Inning at a time. Just don't tell the Marlins that, a

Zach "La Ametralladora" Thompson se a ganado m谩s oportunidades

The Fish find themselves tonight in the "Friendly Confines" known as Wrigley Field, a place that truly truly has been friendly to the Marlins in the months of October. It's the first time the Ballclub returns to Chicago since defeating the Cubs in the Wild Card Series during last year's Postseason, and no one will ever forget 2003, right Steve Bartman?! Who know's, maybe Chicago will be the place the up to now disappointing 2021 Marlins begin a turnaround?  The fightin' Fish get their Captain back tonight. Miguel Rojas is in the Lineup for the first time since dislocating and partially fracturing his left index finger on May 27th. The Leadership Rojas brings to this Club is invaluable and is the Leader on this Team in a way Manager Don Mattingly could never be. Let's just hope not too many days off come his way #SMH #Wink馃槈Wink. Rojas' return wasn't the only bit of good news surrounding the Marlins in Chicago. It only took the Miami Front Offices

Arepa 馃挭 Power
