π΅ "Hey Chicago what do you say" The Marlins are gonna Win Today! πΆ
The Fish find themselves tonight in the "Friendly Confines" known as Wrigley Field, a place that truly truly has been friendly to the Marlins in the months of October. It's the first time the Ballclub returns to Chicago since defeating the Cubs in the Wild Card Series during last year's Postseason, and no one will ever forget 2003, right Steve Bartman?! Who know's, maybe Chicago will be the place the up to now disappointing 2021 Marlins begin a turnaround?
The fightin' Fish get their Captain back tonight. Miguel Rojas is in the Lineup for the first time since dislocating and partially fracturing his left index finger on May 27th. The Leadership Rojas brings to this Club is invaluable and is the Leader on this Team in a way Manager Don Mattingly could never be. Let's just hope not too many days off come his way #SMH #WinkπWink.
Rojas' return wasn't the only bit of good news surrounding the Marlins in Chicago. It only took the Miami Front Offices, oh, about a month & a half to demote a Ballplayer like Isan Diaz as the Season was slipping away. The same Diaz who from May 08 onward was 10 for his last 82 (a .122 BATTING AVERAGE) with 33 Strikeouts. The same Diaz who gets praised for drawing a walk now and then, only to get picked off at 1st. The same Diaz who didn't know what to do with a baseball at Third Base on a bunt in St. Louis. Yeah, that Isan Diaz. Now let's see how long it'll take em to get rid of Mattingly π.
It's good to see a Pitcher like Cody Poteet back on the bump for the Fish. Poteet, a Starter whose had nothing handed to him in his Career, will try to continue to impress at the Big League level. It won't be easy tonight as he'll face a Chicago Cubs Team whose 9 Games over .500 and one whose smack dab in the middle of the N.L Central Division race. But what the heck, π΅ "Hey Chicago what do ya say" the Fish are gonna win today πΆ. #GoMarlins
