We touched upon earlier today the up to now successful transition into Starting Pitcher for Zach Thompson & the Marlins. It's not gone quite as well for Jordan Holloway in the same department in a bit of a head-scratching move to see the Fish bullish at times on making him a Rotation candidate. Holloway looked good out of the Marlins Bullpen earlier in the year and the numbers backed him up, tossing 10 scoreless Innings with 10 K's. The Marlins then ensued by placing him in the starting 5 where Holloway had his struggles. During Jordan's 2 Starts "walks" were an issue as apparent to his 7 walks in less than 7 Innings, while also running into trouble a second time through the order. Holloway features a mid to high 90's Fastball to go along with a BreakingBall that has truly come along this year. However, his over the top delivery can at times cause mechanical flaws. Flaws that can be easily masked an Inning at a time. Just don't tell the Marlins that, as Holloway Started his 4th consecutive Game for the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp last night as he looks to return to Miami's very crowded Rotation?

Speaking of Miami and bad decisions. Our favorite Manager Don Mattingly & our Marlins find a different way each day to leave us a little mind boggled don't they?! Two days our Fish score 21 Runs in Wrigley Field, the next two they score 1 Run Total.. One Start Sandy Alcantara is Pitching in the 9th Inning with 108 Pitches, the next he's taken out with 86 in the 8th Inning. Mattingly when asked why go with Sandy Leon to Pinch Hit in that 8th Inning yesterday with a Left-Hander on the mound had this response: "We have 3 Lefties and Sandy (Leon) a Switch-Hitter (on the Bench)". "Sandy was a better option than our Lefties". Luis Marte on the Bench is Righthanded Don 🙉 ! ..and though that 'Marte' may not be the best option for that spot, it does leave you 'head-scratching' how Manager Don Mattingly doesn't know his own Roster, or does it 🤔 after all this is Mattingly and our Marlins right now we're talking about.

  If the old baseball song 'Take me out the Ballgame' ever rung more veracious today for the Marlins, it'd have to be the part where it goes "If they don't win it's a Shame". Because I don't think there's a better word to describe the Fish right now, than shame. Shame that the Marlins stand here today with a record of 6-23, after just making the Playoffs last Season.   With the Marlins in absolute full self destruction mode thanks to the guidance of Owner Bruce Sherman, President of Baseball Operations Peter Bendix, Manager Skip Schumaker and plenty of Players who can't bat their weight & a lot of Pitchers with ERA's over 6. Let's instead turn our attention to the squared circle, where Fighters are allowed to take out some frustrations on one another. There's that old saying inside the sweet science that Boxing's only as healthy as the Heavyweight Division at times, and while that may not be completely true, especially at the moment with so much action here of late throughout the sport, the Heavyweights due take center stage come Friday when the WBC and Lineal World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury battles Unified Champion in 2 separate weight classes Oleksandr Usyk. Can only get better from here?

  No way around it. The Marlins have started the Season as bad as it gets in the Win/Loss column. A straight O for 5 to commence 2024. Frustration was palpable inside the Marlins Dugout last night. A 4 Game Sweep at the hands of the Pittsburgh Pirates was followed by a 7-4 Loss to the Angels to commence a new Series and the month of April, all at Home. The Marlins lost a 3 Run Lead on Opening Day, a 5 Run Advantage on Sunday, and a 4-0 start to yesterday's Game. The Shutdown Inning from their Starters has been nonapparent each time the Fish have scored first, from Jesus Luzardo on Opening Day, to Trevor Rogers & Max Meyer having both been given big leads in the First Inning. Not to mention short Starts from A.J Puk & David Weathers.  The Marlins Offense is the one that does seem to shutdown after some early hot starts. The Fish bats went 0-14 over the final 6 Innings on Opening Day in route to their 12 Inning Defeat against the Bucs. Yesterday, the Club did not put up a sin
