Flipping the Citrus Series 🍊

Image
Believe it or not kids (and I may show my age on this one 😬) but the Tampa Bay Devil Rays were once upon a time the laughing stock in Major League Baseball. The Inaugural Season for the Rays of 1998 was the Defending World Championship Season for the Marlins (though I'm sure it felt as an Expansion Year as well following a full blown 🔥 Fire Sale post World Series). Tampa Bay however, suffered a minimum of 91 Losses in EACH of they're first 10 Years!   The first time both the Marlins & Rays hooked up was at the Trop on June 22nd of '98. An extra-Inning Game the Marlins won 3-2 in 12. In fact, Florida beat Tampa Bay 12 of the first 15 Meetings between each Club. It wasn't until 2002 when the Marlins finally lost a Season Series to the Devil Rays, but really even through 2007 it was still all Fish at 32-21 against Tampa Bay. 2008 rolls along and the Devil Rays are now only the Rays. Accompanying the name change was a lot of success on the field and the Marlins have n

Don't check the Standings until Memorial Day.

It's the final week of May. Memorial Day is this Monday and if you are a believer of that old Baseball adage, you should have avoided/avoid checking the Standings until then 😉. The Marlins currently find themselves 4 Games under .500 and come Monday will find themselves in Colorado, the final destination of a tough 3 City Road Trip. The Marlins haven't won a Game in Denver since 2018. Getting swept in they're previous 2 Series in the Mile-High City in both 2021 & 2019. Tampa, where the Fish open up this 8 Game Trip tonight, hasn't been much kinder. The Marlins have lost 8 of they're last 9 Games in St. Pete and similarly to Colorado, have not taken a Series at the Trop in 4 Years. While Atlanta is the middle City of the Road Trip, and we'll just leave it at that. The Marlins have not done themselves any favors prior to this Tough Stretch. They've had back to back losing Home Stands sandwiched over a 2-5 West Coast Road Trip. We mentioned the Fish findin

Jazz the most talented Marlin since Hanley?!

There is no denying Jazz Chisholm Jr. has had an electric start to the 2022 Season. From hitting a go-ahead Homer in the 9th on Opening Day, to letting Manager Don Mattingly know how he felt about being Benched in Game #2, to becoming Charlie Sheen's favorite Player in Anaheim, to being rushed at the plate by an Umpire followed by a Dinger, to putting the Team on his back while facing his former Organization. Jazz has caught the baseball world's attention and is certainly the kind of Player the Marlins haven't seen in a long time.  Yes, Giancarlo Stanton was the last true Superstar while playing in a Marlins Uniform. Stanton was the greatest power threat the Organization had/has ever seen, culminating in a 2017 MVP Season in which the prodigious Slugger banged 59 Long Balls. But Stanton has never had a .300 Batting Average campaign. He's never stolen 20 Bases. He's never banged 40+ Doubles. The Fish never had a winning Year under Stanton. They did however have a pai

First off, how awesome is it to have Tommy Hutton back in the T.V Booth! It makes even Paul Severino more likeable 😉. T-Hut's quote after Monday's Game was/is spot on. The Marlins nearly erased another 5-0 deficit last night. The catch-22 is the Marlins finding themselves down 5 with Sandy Alcantara, Pablo Lopez, and Trevor Rogers on the Bump. But how many times are we really gonna say that this year with those 3 🐴🐴🐴? The fight the Marlins have shown after getting hit in the jaw early is something to keep an eye on. The Marlins were trying to avoid a Home Sweep today at the hands of the Arizona Diamondbacks, who brought some Pitching horses of their own this Series, with former Marlin Zac Gallen Tossing a Gem in Game 1. The D-Backs have been able to exorcise some South Florida demons the last couple days, Winning a Series in Miami for the first time since 2018. Arizona had lost 6 out of their last 7 Games at Marlins Park dating back to 2019. While the Seattle Mariners, th

Jazz Chisholm Jr. ... Alguien debería decirle a nuestros Marlins si podría Jugar m
