The Jupiter Hammerheads, the Marlins A-Ball Affiliate for the last 21 Minor League Seasons, Won their fist ever Single-A Championship Wednesday night in Clearwater Florida πππ. After Winning their Division's 2nd Half and qualifying for the MiLB Playoffs for the first time since 2012, the Hammerheads swiftly took down their neighbors, the Palm Beach Cardinals, before going the distance in a best of 3 Series against the Clearwater Threshers.

I had the opportunity to catch my fair share of Hammerhead Games this year, both at the Dean and the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches, where both the Hammerheads & Cards played the 2nd Half of their Seasons due to renovations in Jupiter.
From seeing the overall Game of a very solid/often over looked Marlins Prospect in Javier Sanoja π»πͺ in the 1st Half, before his promotion to Beloit. To the consistent speed threat provided all year long from Ian Lewis π§πΈ. Followed by a Florida State League Playoff Game, when 1 of 3 Top Ranked Marlins Prospects took the Bump in each of the 5 Postseason Games.
Both Noble Meyer & Thomas White were Drafted in the 1st Round of this Year's MLB June Amateur Draft. While Jacob Miller was a 2nd Round Pick last year for the Marlins, who made 16 total Starts (including 2 in the Playoffs) for Jupiter this year.
Meyer, the youngest of the 3 who just turned 18 years old in January, tossed 5.2 scoreless Innings for the Hammerheads in his 2 Playoff Starts, allowing just 1 Hit, walked 4, but Struckout 5.
The Championship came down to it's final contest of Game 3 between Jupiter and Clearwater with the Series knotted at a Game apiece. Where Kemp Alderman, another Draft pick by the Marlins just this past June out of the University of Mississippi, reached base another 3 times for Jupiter, continuing a really nice showing in the Playoffs for the Hammerheads.
Those Hammerheads would hold on to defeat the Threshers by a final score of 7-4 on Wednesday, with Closer Evan Taylor locking down the Title Game. Taylor, a 6"4 250 pound Lefty out of Alabama was dominant during these 2 Playoff Series for Jupiter, helping secure the Hammerheads 1st Championship, and what a fun ride it was. Congratulations! #HammerTime π¦
