Joining José Reyes, Starlin Castro and Starling Marte on the D.R Bench, Jesús Sanchez provided the Marlins with a power Bat from the Left-Side up into this very Year (Popping double-digit HR's in each of his 5 Seasons). Meanwhile, Quilvio Veras picked up the Franchise's 2nd Stolen Base Title 30 Years ago (95), and complied a .383 OBP in his 2 Seasons in Miami.
For Venezuela, finishing off the Bench on the Position Player side was a bit scarce. Sandy Leon (2021) & Jhonny Pereda (2024), two Backup Catchers will be added to Team Venezuela-Marlins. They'll be joined by Outfielder Gorkys Hernandez ('12), whom was Traded from Pittsburgh for Gaby Sanchez. Jose Lopez, whom had an extensive Career in both MLB and Japan, went on a superb 20 Game stretch at the plate in Miami in 2011.
Additions to the Venezuelan Fish Pen will be Left-Handers Renyel Pinto & Jose Quijada. Pinto is quietly 8th All-Time in Appearances out of the Bullpen in Marlins History, 3rd amongst Lefties.
