¡FIRE DON MATTINGLY!

5 Games in. It's too early to press the panic-button they'll tell you. They'll say it was only 1 Road Trip. There's 157 Games to go. But there, right there, is where the problem begins. 76 of those 157 Games remaining will be on the Road! Where Manager Don Mattingly's record in every full Season combined is a whopping, brace yourself Marlins fans, 151-256 since taking over the Marlins in 2016!!

A 95 Loss Marlins Team last year Played Over .500 at Home in 2021, but as the graphic above shows, were absolutely dismal on the Road. But what else can you expect with an in-game Manager the likes of Don Mattingly.

You know, the same Mattingly who wants to try a Hit and Run with his Leadoff Batter on Base yesterday. Nothing wrong there, expect you're Leadoff Hitter is Power Hitting Slugger Jorge Soler, who doesn't have the quickest of feet. So why on God's green earth is he hitting number 1 in you're Order if you're trying to put plays on at the Top (like you should be trying, as the Club can't score Runs)?

(By the way, the Hit and Run resulted in Miguel Rojas' inability to make contact and Soler being thrown out at Second, in an Inning in which the Marlins scored with 2 Out.)

Jesus 🇵🇪 Luzardo had his finest Start as a Marlin (and probably as a Big Leaguer) yesterday in Angel Stadium. Purely dominating the Angels with 12 Strikeouts in 5 Innings while sitting at 76 Pitches. Mattingly yanked Luzardo before the 6th got underway, saying "he didn't have enough Pitches (left)", while blaming the shortened Spring for the early hook.

Just a thought, if you don't want Luzardo throwing say 85 Pitches, why not let him face Shohei Ohtani ONLY (whose leading-off the Inning)? Then bring in a Righthander to face Mike Trout & Anthony Rendon?? Instead of bringing in a Lefty, who struck out the Lefty Hitting Ohtani, but follwed by walking Trout and serving up a 2 Run Homer to Rendon. In other words, WHY NOT THINK EVEN THE SLIGHTEST BIT DON?!

The frustration with Mattingly isn't something new, that's for sure. It had gotten to a point long ago where the Marlins were trying to Win despite Mattingly, not with Mattingly. But when I say it's getting worse, just read the quote ⬆ that the Marlins skipper gave the Miami Herald as Spring Training was barely getting underway.

You're telling me it's nothing personal the beef Mattingly has with arguably the best Player on the Marlins? Is there real reason to single out Jazz Chisholm Jr, who was Benched in Game #2 of the Season as well, 1 day after nearly winning the Game on Opening Day for the Fish with a huge 9th Inning Homer. Speaking as to why sit Jazz "our left/right (options), there are some guys (assuming Jazz here since he was the reason this was brought up) that are those matchups we'll try to take advantage of" said the Marlins Skipper on Saturday.

Calling Jazz a platoon Player more or less, while staying with someone like Jesus Sanchez in Center Field, both Offensively and Defensively late in Ballgames. Well it's a bit hypocritical. Sanchez (whose extremely talented like Jazz) certainly "stays in against Southpaws" as far as approach and certainly needs to be in there everyday. But so does Chisholm Jr. (and without the smirky comments from his Manager might I add). Yet Sanchez bats at the Top or Middle of the Order every night, while Jazz takes his turns at the Dish at the very Bottom of the Marlins Lineup.

Jazz is not the only Player who may feel slighted by his Manager on the Marlins. Days after calling him the "Kris Bryant of you're Ballclub", Brian Anderson found himself on the Bench on Opening Day. That'll do wonders for his confidence I suppose, as Anderson has gotten off to a rough start to 2022.

Bryan De La Cruz finally saw Game action yesterday, reaching safely all 3 times. Only to be lifted for Joey Wendle with 2 Outs in the 6th. Yet a struggling B.A is not allowed to start on Opening Day, but is allowed to lead off the 7th Inning against a tough Righty???

The Marlins Home Opener is tomorrow night against Philadelphia. Why put up with more Mattingly nonsense? What better time to send a message to you're fan base if you're the Marlins, than right now?? To say we are not gonna let this thing snow ball, there is too much talent here for that. Don Mattingly was ejected from Monday's Game. It's now time to eject him from the Managerial seat.
