One of the most complete Games played by the Marlins in a long time. That style of play, of Pitching (as Pablo Lopez gave em 6 Strong & the Pen was solid). Defense (with a very clutch play by Brian Anderson and 2 spectacular plays by Matt Joyce of all Outfielders 👏). Speed (having Eddy Alvarez, Jon Berti, Magnueris Sierra, and Jonathan Villar bunched in the Lineup gives the Club quite a different look 🖒). That style of Play is hard to beat, just ask those Atlanta Braves 🙂. May I even say, was the recipe for a 2003 Championship. 



Marlin Notes 

Son Los Marlins came to find out Bullpen Coach Wellington Castillo, Bullpen Catcher Koji Tanaka, and Catching Coach Eddy Rodriguez were 3 "Staff" Members on the Club who had tested positive for Covid-19. Not surprising seeing as of the 18 Players who had tested positive, 12 were Pitchers (Adam Conley, Jeff Brigham, Caleb Smith, Yimi Garcia, Robert Dugger, Ryne Stanek, Sandy Alcantara, Jose Urena, Jordan Halloway, Alex Vesia, Aaron Northcraft, and Nick Neidart). Along with Catchers Jorge Alfaro, Chad Wallach, and Sean Rodriguez (Eddy's brother). There is very good news on this front, as today The Marlins said the majority of these men had tested Negative twice, and were approved for reinstatement by Major League Baseball.

  If the old baseball song 'Take me out the Ballgame' ever rung more veracious today for the Marlins, it'd have to be the part where it goes "If they don't win it's a Shame". Because I don't think there's a better word to describe the Fish right now, than shame. Shame that the Marlins stand here today with a record of 6-23, after just making the Playoffs last Season.   With the Marlins in absolute full self destruction mode thanks to the guidance of Owner Bruce Sherman, President of Baseball Operations Peter Bendix, Manager Skip Schumaker and plenty of Players who can't bat their weight & a lot of Pitchers with ERA's over 6. Let's instead turn our attention to the squared circle, where Fighters are allowed to take out some frustrations on one another. Can only get better from here?

  No way around it. The Marlins have started the Season as bad as it gets in the Win/Loss column. A straight O for 5 to commence 2024. Frustration was palpable inside the Marlins Dugout last night. A 4 Game Sweep at the hands of the Pittsburgh Pirates was followed by a 7-4 Loss to the Angels to commence a new Series and the month of April, all at Home. The Marlins lost a 3 Run Lead on Opening Day, a 5 Run Advantage on Sunday, and a 4-0 start to yesterday's Game. The Shutdown Inning from their Starters has been nonapparent each time the Fish have scored first, from Jesus Luzardo on Opening Day, to Trevor Rogers & Max Meyer having both been given big leads in the First Inning. Not to mention short Starts from A.J Puk & David Weathers.  The Marlins Offense is the one that does seem to shutdown after some early hot starts.
