Revamped Pen?!

The Fish quietly added a couple Veterans, another flamethrower from the Left side, and a little Minor League Depth to the 2023 Bullpen. How it all pieces together is the job of new Manager Skip Schumaker and G.M Kim Ng. But there's no denying the Pen has a little different feel to it.  New Vets Matt Barnes (not the tattoo guy who used to play for the Lakers) and JT Chargois, bring parts of 14 Years of combined MLB experience to the Marlins Bullpen, Barnes as the Red-Sox Closer over the last few Seasons. Both Barnes & Chargois have very similar repertoires, while they can rush it up there (Chargois in the high 90's), they are very reliant on a wipeout Slider that can be very effective against both Lefties and especially Righties. Both have had good Springs, while both had a little something to prove after being Traded to the Fish. Returning  Vets The Marlins brought back 2 Veteran Relievers that played important roles in 2022. Tanner Scott quietly Saved 20 Games last year

Spring Notes

If you follow us on Twitter @SantiagoMarlins , @luchamarlins , @NeneMarlins  you'll see we have some fun with small recaps following every Marlins Spring Training Game. Spring however, is also now short on time, as Exhibition Games for the Marlins wrap up Sunday, and there are still quite a few decisions left to be made in Fish Camp. Kyle Schwarber of the Philadelphia Phillies probably said it best when speaking on the WBC. The World Baseball Classic came to it's most epic of conclusions last night at Marlins Park. Movie-Like was the setting, as best player in the world (said C.M Punk once upon a time) Shohei Ohtani, held Japan's 1 Run Lead on the mound in the 9th Inning. While in the Batters Box was none other than former best in the world Mike Trout, representing the United States. Star Teammates on the Los Angles Angles turned rivals for this WBC At Bat. The result was the deserved exclamation point for the 2 way Superstar Ohtani. Doing things in the Game that have not

How intense (and of course fun) have these World Baseball Classic Games been! And we're barely on the 1st leg of the Tournament, which started in Taiwan Wednesday.. Group Play got underway States side over the weekend, and Marlins Park was right in the middle of it all...  Over 35,000 Fans packed loanDepot in Miami on Saturday for 2 WBC GAMES! Not 35 Thousand combined. 35 Grand, each!! Over 71,000 Baseball fans in a single day filled the blue seats in Miami to support Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic!!! Team Mexico stunned USA last night, building an 11-2 Lead in route to Victory at a packed house in Arizona 🇲🇽. Samurai Japan went a perfect 4-0 in Group Play, as electricity has run through the Tokyo Dome with the craze that is baseball and Shohei Ohtani 🇯🇵. You've got unbelievable MLB All-Star talent on Squads like the D.R and especially Team USA. There are Teammates on Major League Organizations squaring off against one another from North Amer
