Seeing as we did a Top 10 Marlins Prospects take earlier this week, to pretty good reviews might I add. Thought it to be fitting to do a little Son Los Marlins Boxing Top 10 Pound for Pound list. You read that right, so knuckle up. Now, when speaking to any boxing fan or expert about a definition into the meaning of pound for pound, you'll always get a varying answer. I've always considered that being pound for pound number 1 means that you're the best in the world, regardless of weight class. For example, a Lightweight's gonna have a really tough time against a Heavyweight, but if you were to just take each Fighter's skill set into account, who would be the better Boxer if both were in the same Weight Division.  Others take into effect how certain Champions are able to move up or down weight classes, while claiming numerous Titles.  Also make allowances for a Fighter's popularity and how much interest they're garnering into their Bouts. It's tough to b

The Marlins got Swept and Lost their 81st Game of the Season last night at Home to the Arizona Diamondbacks. It's August 22nd, there are 35 Games remaining on the 2024 Schedule. Yikes! It got us thinking, how many Big losing Campaigns have the Fish endured now under Owner Bruce Sherman. Sherman, thanks to the supereminent reputation in Baseball at the time of Derek Jeter, purchased the Marlins in the fall of 2017. In less than 7 Seasons, the Marlins have had all the likes of Michael Hill, Jeter/Gary Denbo, Kim Ng, and now Peter Bendix running their Baseball Department. Sherman/Jeter also had to employ a couple Presidents off the field, in Chip Bowers (who lasted barely a year) & Caroline O'Connor (the current Marlins Prez of Business Ops). CEO/part Owner Jeter was eventually let go himself by Sherman over results on and off the field in 2022. The Marlins lost 93 Games in '22 following Jeter's departure, made the Playoffs in 2023, and now have reverted to an atroci

Seeing as it's the "trendy thing" to do these days, coupled with the fact the Marlins just called up Connor Norby. Let's do a Top 10 Prospect list. It'll be a tad different from others, seeing as we will not include Players who are currently in the Show or who have Debuted at the Big League level in the past. So here we go! #1: Thomas White Though White was the 2nd Pick by the Marlins in last year's Draft, I think it's safe to say the 6-5 Left Hander resides at number 1 in the Fish Prospect Rankings at the moment. After really impressing in the Spring, the 35th Overall Pick in 2023 cruised through Single-A Jupiter, before continuing to dominate in High-A. For Beloit, White's already racked up 57 Strike Outs in 47 Innings to the tune of 2.49 ERA. The 19 Year Old is an imposing figure on the mound, not to mention a delivery that really seems to come right at you which hides his mid 90's heater and big breaking ball extremely well. #2 Noble Meyer T

Quite the sports weekend we just witnessed. Between the closing of the Olympic Games, the 'dawg' days of summer in Major League Baseball, even the newfound League's Cup. If you're fan of athletics, there was a bit of everything. We'll start with Gold Medals (plural). 2 different Team USA's picked up gold on Saturday. First, the Women's National Soccer Team defeated Brazil, behind quite the performance by Goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher who put on a clinic. Then, a fellow by the name of Steph Curry electrified Paris/all of France, and the world with a 3 Point Shooting display never before seen in the Olympics. While Anthony Davis was a straight up 'dawg' on the defensive end. The USA Men's Basketball Team took down a very game France to win their 5th straight Gold medal, in a Tournament that dawned how much the gap in competition is closing on Hoops, especially amongst European Countries (Just ask the U.S about Serbia & Nikola Jokic). Parallel, the

The Marlins Traded 7 Players on Tuesday and 9 overall leading up to the Trade Deadline. In no particular order, Jazz Chisholm Jr. (NYY), Tanner Scott & Bryan Hoeing (SD), A.J Puk & Josh Bell (ARZ), Bryan De La Cruz (PIT), Trevor Rogers (BAL), J.T Chargois (SEA), Huascar Brazoban (NYM) were all Dealt for 15 mostly Prospects from those Organizations.  Marlins President Peter Bendix & Staff completely overhauled the Big League Team with the hope of building in his words "into the type of Organization that we all think it can be". I've been asked my thoughts on the latest Marlins Fire Sale, excluding the debacle of a Trade that kicked it off in May of course. While I'm still a little skeptical as to whether the Marlins should have Traded somebody with the true Star potential of Jazz or even someone like De La Cruz who was not even Arbitration Eligible yet and is on pace to hit what? 25 Dingers! Returns on All-Star Closer and 1 of the more dominant Relivers i
