  It's no secret the Marlins are going into 2025 with the lowest payroll in Major League Baseball. That's been well publicized, following a 2023-2024 Off-Season during which they signed exactly 1 Free-Agent (Tim Anderson, 1 yr/$5 Million Dollars), along with just this past Winter where they soley Inked Cal Quantrill to a 1 Year/$3.5 Million Dollar Contract. We've hinted on the Fish Front Office shedding almost every Player whom is making (either now or in the near future ) more than the MLB minimum. We've also touched on ⬇️ reasoning ⤵️ behind the why that very well could be.   Former Cy Young Winner Sandy Alcántara is the leader on the Field and in Player Payroll heading into the new Season. After signing a 5 Year $56 Million Dollar Extension following the 2021 Campaign, Sandy has 3 Seasons of Club control left, with a Team Option for 2027. Maple Leaf Marlins

    Se nos fue y bino el Clásico Mundial de Beisbol. Hoy se jugará la gran final de un torneo el cuál empezó hace menos de 2 semanas. Los Estados Unidos buscarán ganar su segundo título WBC, contra un Venezuela que ha definido las probabilidades. El Equipo Vino-Tinto venció a Japón en cuartos de final el Sabado, antes de superar a Italia anoche. Mientras que las Barras y las Estrellas salieron victoriosos en semi-final contra la Republica Domincana el Domingo. El camino a la final no ha sido tan fácil, como muchos lo esperaban para Estados Unidos. Fueron derrotados por Italia (cuál fue como un segundo Equipo USA) durante la fase de grupos. Luego que Canadá les diera juego en cuartos de final. USA venció a sus vecinos del norte, 5-3 el Viernes pasado. Marlins de la actualidad Otto López, Liam Hicks y Owen Caissie formaban parte de ese Equipo Canadiense.  With the World Series all wrapped up, where for the first time in MLB History a Season began and concluded outside of the United States (Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵 on March 18th / Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 November 1st). The Baseball winter has arrived in which the cooler weather pushes the pause button on Major League diamonds until February.  Now, you can get a baseball fix with a little bit over a week left in the Arizona Fall League. The AFL features top MLB prospects competing in the desert. Winter Leagues have already ramped up in the Caribbean, which will culminate just before the start of Spring Training with la Serie del Caribe taking place in Venezuela in 2026.  The Caribbean Series won't be the only rendition of an International Tournament come the Spring.
