Wintry


 With the Baseball Winter Meetings wrapping up in Orlando. The Magic hosting the Heat in Orange County last night and grabbing the Dub 🙄. Fight night between Jake Paul & Anthony Joshua is less than 10 days away in Miami. There's quite a bit going on in the Sunshine State here during the first 10 days of December. 


We mentioned the Winter Meetings, where Executives from all 30 MLB Teams gather. There was some Free Agent news yesterday. Former Mets Closer Edwin Diaz is now a Dodger (what a surprise). Kyle Schwarber is staying with the Phillies (no surprise there either). While as we write, there was some breaking news as Pete Alonso is leaving New York as well, Signing a 5 Year Deal with Baltimore (in a bit of a nice surprise move for the Sport if you will).


Albert Pujols, not affiliated with any Major League Team at the moment (though he did interview for some Managerial vacancies this Off-Season), talked about the D.R Club which the Baseball icon will Manage during the upcoming WBC. In regards to former Marlin and Dominican Winter League legend Emilio Bonifacio, Pujols was a bit candid and cruel saying; "I'm going to say it like it is, I'm not taking an Emilio Bonifacio to occupy a Roster (spot) when we can't take a Ballplayer who can help us". "I'm not taking that spot (away) from a Player" Pujols continued. "I (hypothetically) take Emilio Bonifacio to Steal a Base, but I have Elly De La Cruz who can Steal me that Bag as well, and I have Johan Rojas whose younger who can Steal me that Bag and play Defense". Ouch. Guessing a little Team chemistry in the WBC means nothing. Then again, Pujols did not bring Bonifacio aboard the Liga Dominicana Roster during last Season's Caribbean Series (which Pujols & D.R won) either.  



Speaking about the Dominican Republic, yesterday it was reported Sandy Alcantara will participate for the D.R again in 2026. Alcantara pitched in the World Baseball Classic in '23 following a Cy Young Season, and promptly went on to have an extremely rough 2023 MLB Campaign, which culminated with Tommy John Surgery that wiped him out for all of '24. No word yet on Edward Cabrera & Eury Perez's participation or lack thereof in the upcoming Spring Tournament for the same Dominican Team.



Don't have to worry about Injuries on our Son Los Marlins 'fantasy' All-World 🌐 Rosters, which brought a very expanded International audience. So much so we've decided to give you full 26 Man Rosters for each Country soon, while maybe adding a few Nations/Teams..

  A n ewsy last 36 hours in the Sports/International world. YouTuber turned Boxer, Jake Paul (🇺🇸) will be taking his radically toughest challenge since evolving into Combat Sports, and the Bout will happen in less than a month. Officially booking a Fight with former 2 X Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua (🇬🇧). Now, this isn't 'former' as in well over 20 years ago Champ, Mike Tyson. This isn't a former MMA Champion crossing into Boxing, or a Bare Knuckle brawler putting on gloves. This isn't somebody like Tommy Furry with just a name (whom I had the hardest time even recalling said first name)/brother of Tyson Furry, or Julio Cesar Chavez Jr./son of the legendary J.C Chavez Sr, with limited talent inside the Ring (the ladder of Paul Opponents less talented than the former, believe it or not). This is a Prize Fighter, and a Prize Fighter whom just challenged for a Heavyweight Belt again last year / somebody still looking for *big Heavyweight Bouts in the future....

  As the wintry-like weather begins to pierce  🥶 , what better time to warm u p than with another rendition of an all-Marlins WBC Team. We've given you Marlins Team USA & Marlins D.R  🇩🇴 , ahora le toca a la Isla del Encanto.  Puerto Rico has always been a baseball hot bed, and while not as many Big Leaguers have arrived to the Show of late from the Island, it truly could only be a matter of time, seeing as the sport continues to run through the blood of many Boricua.
