MEXICO MARLINS

Image

Marlins P.R

As the wintry-like weather begins to pierce  🥶 , what better time to warm u p than with another rendition of an all-Marlins WBC Team. We've given you Marlins Team USA & Marlins D.R  🇩🇴 , ahora le toca a la Isla del Encanto.  Puerto Rico has always been a baseball hot bed, and while not as many Big Leaguers have arrived to the Show of late from the Island, it truly could only be a matter of time, seeing as the sport continues to run through the blood of many Boricua. The Marlins have felt the strength of Puerto Rican Baseball on a World Championship Team or 2. Let's dive into what an All P.R Marlins Club would look like. ........ Javier Vazquez will most certainty head a Pitching Staff, that admittedly will need help Offensively (and a good thing Team P.R will have the fire power at the plate). It's also a good thing Javy Vazquez went on a run like not a lot of Pitchers in Marlins History have. 2011 marked Vazquez's final Season of a storied Career in the Ma...

With the World Series all wrapped up, where for the first time in MLB History a Season began and concluded outside of the United States (Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵 on March 18th / Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 November 1st). The Baseball winter has arrived in which the cooler weather pushes the pause button on Major League diamonds until February.  Now, you can get a baseball fix with a little bit over a week left in the Arizona Fall League. The AFL features top MLB prospects competing in the desert. Winter Leagues have already ramped up in the Caribbean, which will culminate just before the start of Spring Training with la Serie del Caribe taking place in Venezuela in 2026.  The Caribbean Series won't be the only rendition of an International Tournament come the Spring. Oh no. The World Baseball Classic returns in 2026, coinciding with the FIFA World Cup taking place in North America this coming summer for the first time since 1994. Obviously the World Series & W...

The 2025 World Series is set. The Toronto Blue Jays will attempt to dethrone the L.A Dodgers not only for Canada, but for what feels like the majority of America as well. It's just that, between L.A's $393,750,000 Payroll, Shohei Ohtani's gambling scandal being completely/peculiarly swept away, the manner in which the Dodgers have pretty much screwed the State of California through deferred salaries (where the majority of player compensation will be handed out once said Players will be living outside the State), or Los Angeles, yes Los Angeles doing this in April  ↓ . Genúg of the Dodgers!  The '25 Fall Classic will put a bow on the Major League Baseball year. Down in the Minor Leagues, a little less than a month ago the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp captured the Marlins Franchise's first ever Triple-A Championship. What was a truly dominant Season in Duval from the start, the Jumbo Shrimp squared off with Scranton Wilkes-Barre in a 2 out of 3 Series for the Internati...

It's like deja vu all over again

The New York Mets are up 1 Game in the Wild Card Standings, looking to secure a spot in the Postseason during this final weekend. All the Metropolitans gotta do, is go through the Marlins?! Yes, the Marlins. A Franchise who has been (not a thorn) but a full on dagger to the Mets, not once, Twice. Need to remember there's a generation who might've been too young (as crazy as that may sound) and may not quite know what happened during back to back Season finale's of 2007/2008. The '07 Mets still hold the distinction to the biggest Regular Season collapse in Baseball History. A 7 Game Lead with only 17 to go, attempting to capture consecutive Division Titles. While the 2007 Fish battled many Injuries (especially in the Rotation) and lost 91 Games, yet may have played their best baseball during the final week of the Season.  The Marlins Swept the Cubs in Miami, whom only needed a single Victory to clinch a Playoff berth of their own earlier that same September 2007 week. ...

The Comebacks

Image
The 'Comeback' has been a theme for the 2025 Marlins. The Fightn' Fish have pulled out 36 come from behind Wins since Opening Day. 14 of those Victories have come when trailing in the 7th Inning or later. The Marlins revived their Season after dipping all the way to 16 Games Under .500 (twice) in June, to then reaching the .500 marker at the beginning of August thanks to an incredible 25-10 stretch. The Fish currently find themselves 6 Games back of a Playoff spot with only 8 Games remaining. Can the Marlins at least cut that Wild Card deficit in half by Friday to make that final Series against the Mets even more interesting? Don't know if Comeback Player of the Year is still a thing in the sport, but the Organization's had some individuals make quite the comeback themselves in their Career trajectories this year. Let's start with Eury Perez, the 20 year old (att) Rookie phenom of 2023 who went down with Tommy John in the Spring of '24. Perez has picked up...

Hotlanta, a Road Trip with the Marlins 😠

Image
Pheww, what a difference a week makes sometimes in Major League Baseball. The Marlins found this out firsthand, after riding so much momentum since late June (a complete 180 of the first 3 months to the 2025 Season), finishing off a Sweep of the New York Yankees at home which saw the Club finally reach .500. The Fightn' Fish then dropped a Series to the Houston Astros in Miami, though at the very least capturing the finale to secure yet another Winning home stand. Next came a 5 Game Series at the Atlanta Braves, with a Double-Header on Saturday thanks to a postponed Game all the way back in early April. If you thought Atlanta's Roster was weak then, try going into this weekend Series against the Fish without Austin Riley, Ronald Acu ñ a (who was out in April as well), not having to face Spencer Strider. You would think the Marlins would be in prime position to continue to make up ground in the Wild Card race against the 47-66 Braves. Especially seeing as the New York Mets got s...
