Play around .500 ball on the road, take care of business at home. Through Atlanta & New York for what became an abbreviated 5 game road-trip, the Marlins come back to South Florida 2-3 against the Braves & Mets, no easy task given the Fish's recent history in both Cities. They'll now face another N.L East opponent in the Washington Nationals for a 3 Game weekend Set over at the Depot, where the Marlins had an initial winning Opening homestand.



Speaking of the N.L East, both the Philadelphia Phillies & Nats took a Series each from the Defending Chump L.A Dodgers over the last 6 days. A road-trip for Los Angles which opened a lot of eyes off the field towards a Ballclub based out of California.




Don't know if ironic or moronic would best describe the picture above. Only seeing as you have one of the Nation's most famous immigrants (whether in or out of Sports) alongside the Country's President, whose campaigns have centered around degrading, immigrants.



Even if one assumes the majority of Major League Baseball Players lean towards the Republican party based on taxes and countless multi-million dollar salaries. It's discouraging to learn about the Dodgers' White House visit (tradition or not).



I mean, it's not like the Dodgers defer all this money in their Contracts, allowing their Players to avoid the high California State Tax, while making most of their dough once they're out of Cali. You'd think that would be enough tax breaks alone.




Speaking of Cali, and speaking of Teams who did not visit the White House under the Trump administration. The Golden State Warriors lost a big Game to the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night.



Golden State is still in position to kind of worst case scenario host a Play In Game or 2, which kick off next week. 



Both Florida Basketball Squads will be be in the mix for the Eastern Conference side of the Play In Tournament. With Orlando looking like will host. Both the Magic & Heat are in action tonight as well.



If Major League Baseball or the NBA Playoffs aren't enough, don't worry. Friday Night Smackdown is upon us, with WrestleMania week just a few days away.

  Que días llenos de deportes nos encontramos en el calendario. Las Panteras de Florida van a su tercera Final de Conferencia consecutiva. En la NBA, igual solo quedan 4 Equipos (Indiana/Nueva York .. Minnesota/Oklahoma). Las últimas dos semanas hubo vastante Box (con las presentaciones de la promoción Top-Rank, robándose y rescatando el show). Hasta las poderosas Aguilas de la América buscan su CUARTO TÍTULO MEXICANO CONSECUTIVO. Spring's eternal

The Marlins kicked off Spring Training last week with Pitchers & Catchers (more on the former in a second). The entire full Squad got things going "officially" Monday, though a substantial amount of Position Players were in Jupiter long before, chomping at the bit. Admittedly we began this post over the weekend prior to Owner Bruce Sherman & President Peter Bendix holding their recurrent specious media scrum to kick off the Spring. As has been the case with these sort of gatherings of Fish higher-ups of late, the terminology of being 'utterly oblivious' to the surroundings of the Ballclub, I think fits to a baseball tee.     It doesn't necessitate a  listen to all the 'analysts' on pods or read the many projections from so called 'insiders' to know the Marlins have or will be picked by almost everybody to finish dead last in their Division and probably the entire National League.
