1.Thomas White

The last time Son Los Marlins did a Top Prospect list during the Second Half of last year, Thomas White found himself on top of ours and many lists throughout. Over 9 months later, that certainty is not changing. What in our opinion should have changed for White, was/is his location if you will, inside the Marlins Farm System. The big Lefty is back in Beloit, and back dominating High-A (3.24 ERA, 37 K's, 25 Innings). Why T. White didn't start the year in Double-A Pensacola seemed/seems odd. Especially with Elbow Surgeries so rampant in the sport, feels like a potentially missed opportunity by the Marlins, to have had their Top-Prospect even potentially Debut for them this year. Why wait?

2. Joe Mack

Without question the biggest ascension inside the Marlins Organization has been that of Catcher Joe Mack. Quick to forget, Mack was a former 1st Rd. Pick by the Club back in 2021, and it's taken a while for the Lefty swinger to tap into his potential. Following a bust out 2024, Mack continues to take the next steps, carrying a combined slash line of .290/.390.476, as well as an .866 OPS at the highest levels of the Minors. Only a matter of time until we see yet another Catching Prospect Debut this summer in Miami.

3. Robby Snelling

Acquired from the Padres in the Tanner Scott Trade, Robby Snelling has continued to trend upward again since joining the Fish Org. A couple bad outings during his last 2 Starts in Double-A won't deter the fellow hard throwing Lefty off the top 5 of this list. In fact, if Snelling continues his quick progression inside the Marlins System, it would not at all be shocking to see the former 1st Rd. Pick by San Diego make his MLB Debut in the Second Half of 2025 as well.

4. Dillon Head

A Jupiter Hammerhead, Dillon Head was acquired for 3 consecutive time Batting Champion Luis Arraez a year ago. After a waisted 2024 because of a hip injury, Head has returned flashing plenty of skills in '25. The speed was always and is still there, but there's also a hit tool in the bat of yet another former First Rounder from San Diego. Even a little pop, as evident by a couple dingers that accompanies Heads' 5 triples this Season!!

 5. Keyner Benitez

With Noble Meyer trending a little in the opposite direction (and there's still plenty of time to turn even his 2025 around), Keyner Benitez continues to assert himself as a legit Prospect for the Marlins. A fellow Hammerhead, Benitez has pretty much picked up where he left off last Season. What a Changeup! Giving the Marlins yet another potential Left Handed top pitching prospect.

6. Troy Johnston

Not because the Marlins refuse to call-up Troy Johnston, and rather give countless opportunities to Eric Wagaman & Matt Mervis over at First Base, does it take away the ability shown by the former 17th Round Pick all the way back in 2019 out of Gonzaga. Nothing's been given to Johnston, who has earned everything up into the Triple-A level, and even there the Lefty Hitter had to re-win his First Base job. Not too different of an approach to Mack, Johnston sprays the ball to all fields from the left-side, with some pop. Maybe 2025 will be the year.

..We'll have a part 2 to this list soon, giving you a Top 12. In the mean time, Go Sports!
